A heavy duty transport brought the colorfully wrapped coil from the Uckermark region to Mainz. A large crane was used to lift the 1.2 tons of wood into place, where it was fixed to the foundation with steel feet. Final touches were made by Gisbert Baarmann and his two sons, who are part of the family business. Now, right at the beginning of the trail, you can find an oversized model explaining a material such as polyethylene.
