The NMR core facility at MPI-P provides both, 24/7 routine NMR at highest level as self-service  for rapid chemical characterization as well as tailored NMR studies for complex systems analyzing e.g. spatial structures of molecules in different environments, supramolecular aggregation and kinetics of all kind of molecular processes in solutions, gels and solids performed by the scientists of the NMR facility.

Solid-state NMR spectroscopy provdies information of materials on the molecular level. Fast magic angle spinning is needed to overcome the substantial line broadening due to anisotropic contributions of local NMR interactions. Using tailored recouling methods, these unidsotropic NMR interactions open new opportunities to study materials on the molecular level.
