Infrastructure
The Mass Spectrometry Core Facility plays a crucial role in the institute's direction in various scientific frontiers of sustainability, defect engineering, biomedicine and synthetic biochemistry. The Facility houses various instruments for imaging mass spectrometry for the analysis of chemically and biologically modified surfaces. The MS Team is actively involved in method development to address a multitude of interdisciplinary questions, together with various groups within the institute.
Internal service measurements with ESI and MALDI (Synapt G2-Si and rapifleX) are provided as well by the mass spectrometry staff. Selected instruments (Advion CMS) can be used in self-service after the required introduction by our staff is obtained.
Service Measurements: Forms for ESI, MALDI and exact mass measurements can be found in the MPI-P intranet: forms for analytics and spectroscopy.
Self-service: The Advion ESI/APCI-MS instruments can be used in self-service after an introduction by our technical staff. Please contact Jutta Schnee or Stephan Türk to get the required introduction. For Advion LC-ESI-MS, please contact Maria Jose da Silva.
For analytical questions beyond routine measurements, please contact Seah-Ling Kuan or Maria Jose da Silva for further discussions.
