We participated in the SFB 1551 Conference on Polymer Concepts in Cellular Function. Where Tsvetomir Ivanov presented a talk on the topic of peptide coacervates as functional vehicles for biocatalysis. In addition, Ilona Kalte and Leonhard Seufert presented a poster on the topic of engineering minimalistic peptide coacervates with intrinsic functions for which Ilona Kalte was recognised with a poster prize.

We organized a symposium on the topic of engineering and assembly of macromolecular systems with advanced functionality. We had the opportunity to learn about the different insights from experts in the field from the MPIP and from external guests. 

Congrations to Ilona Kalte for earning second prize at the annual poster session at the MPIP with her poster titled: „Biomimetic Peptide Coacervates: Towards Functional Artificial Organelles“

Congratulations to Leonhard Seufert for successfully defending his master thesis. His research was focused on development of multiphase complex coacervates for advanced biocatalysis. 

Tsvetomir Ivanov gave a flash talk and presented a poster about our work on "Short Peptide Coacervates" at the conference on Biomolecular condensates: From fundamental principles to applications in health and biotech, taking place in Copenhagen, May 13–15, 2025.
