Infrastructure
The BioCore Facility is an initiative launched by Prof. Tanja Weil and the board of directors since April 2021 as part of the core infrastructure of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. The Facility plays a crucial role in the institute's direction in various scientific frontiers of biomedicine, sustainability and synthetic biochemistry.
Spanning a floor area of about 200m2, the Facility is an integrated set of laboratories that houses various equipment for low temperature storage and quality management as well as high end instruments for cell cultures and analysis. By collaborating with other departments to perform complex studies such as MS-Imaging, Cell-TEM, HPLC-Fractionation, the BioCore Team is actively involved in method development to address a multitude of interdisciplinary questions.
