ERC Advanced Grant - Smartphon:
Small- and nano-scale soft phononics

The project aims at utilizing Colloid and Polymer science to engineer acoustic and optical material functionalities of hierarchical structures. It should occur over various length scales commensurate with and well below the characteristic length scales of phonons and photons. Many important questions in this young field of phononics are just being raised and require new conceptual and technical approaches to address them.
