Ultrafast Dynamics and Control
We are interested in the interplay of nuclear and electronic degrees of freedom, ultrafast dynamics of structural evolution and charge carriers, and exploring new phenomena by controlling light-matter interactions in condensed phase systems. We develop and employ novel THz spectroscopies to investigate the interaction between electrons and phonons in a mode-resolved fashion, and drive a system via the specific mode to control its properties and function in the sub-picosecond time scale. Our current projects focus on photophysics and phase transitions of bulk and two-dimensional (2D) organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites, organic semiconductors, transition metal chalcogenide halides (superatom solids).
