Current and former members of the Liquid Electrolytes at Interfaces Group

Dr. Aaron Ratschow
Group LeaderAaron leads the “Liquid Electrolytes at Interfaces” group. He combines experiments, continuum simulations, and theory to develop analytical models with high predictive power for phenomena involving liquids, charges, and wetting.

Dr. Ruvtik Lathia
PostdocRutvik is a postdoc in our group. He is an experimentalist and an expert on the physics of charged drops.

Dr. Wei Song
PostdocWei Song is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the group, where he works experimentally on dynamic wetting and droplet reactions. Previously, he worked on tribology.

Yikuan Yan
Guest ResearcherYikuan studies physics at Oxford university and is a guest researcher at MPIP. He investigates electrostatic effects on wetting and the structure of electric double layers in solvent mixtures.

Dardan Buzra
Master's StudentDardan is a master’s student in Soft Matter and Materials, currently working on his thesis. He is interested in interfacial phenomena, colloidal interactions, and surface forces.

Anna Brown
Bachelor's studentAnna is working on her Bachelor's thesis in the field of electrowetting.

Josephin Giel
Bachelor's StudentJosephin recently joined the group and is studying charge relaxation of water droplets on different substrates for her Bachelor’s thesis.
Former Group Members
Shuajia Chen, Guest Researcher from the University of Melbourne, Australia
Riko Kazama, Guest Researcher from Tohoku University, Japan
